Welcome to Point Hunt (www.pointhuntweb.com). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our loyalty points management web application. By accessing or using Point Hunt, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for, accessing, or using Point Hunt services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to register and use Point Hunt services. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. Service Description
Point Hunt is a web-based loyalty points management system that enables shops, supermarkets and other B2C businesses to offer loyalty points to their customers based on purchase amounts. Our service includes:
- Checkout Staff Panel (Add Points, Redeem Points, Check Points, Add Customers)
- Admin Panel (Manage Checkout Staff Panel, set point percentages from 1% to 30%)
- Digital loyalty card system with email delivery
- Manual integration requiring staff to enter purchase amounts
4. Registration and Account Security
4.1 Vendor Registration
During registration, we collect:
- Name
- Shop/Office name
- Shop/Office address
- Phone number
- Email address
- Country
4.2 Customer Registration
Customer registration (handled by checkout staff) requires:
- Name
- Email address
- Mobile number
4.3 Account Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Admin and checkout staff passwords are hashed using SHA-256 encryption
- You are solely responsible for all activities under your account
5. Service Limitations and User Responsibilities
5.1 Transaction Accuracy
- Point Hunt is NOT responsible for errors made by checkout staffs when adding or redeeming points, whether accidental or intentional
- Once points are added or redeemed, transactions CANNOT be edited or deleted, even by administrators
- Users must ensure accuracy during all transactions
5.2 Data Security During Operations
- Point Hunt is NOT liable for any leakage of customer mobile numbers or personal details during registration or point transactions
- We strongly encourage customers to use digital card barcodes instead of sharing mobile number during point transactions
5.3 Customer Access Issues
Point Hunt holds NO responsibility for:
- Customers losing access to registered email or mobile numbers
- Incorrect details provided during registration
- Inability to redeem points due to lost access credentials
5.4 Data Retention
- Only the last 100 add point and redeem point transaction records are stored in our database
- Older point transaction data is automatically deleted and cannot be retained or recovered
- This limitation applies to all users and cannot be modified
6. Subscription Terms and Pricing
6.1 Subscription Plans
- Monthly and yearly subscription options available
- Pricing based on the number of Checkout Staff Panel
- 100-day free trial provided after registration (no payment details required during trial)
- Pricing may vary by geographical location
6.2 Free Trial
- 100-day free trial is provided directly by Point Hunt
- No payment information required during trial period
- Full access to features during trial period
- By subscribing during the trial period, the user acknowledges and agrees that the trial will terminate immediately, and the paid subscription will commence without further notice.
6.3 Payment Processing
- All payments are processed through Paddle as our Merchant of Record
- Paddle may apply taxes or VAT based on your country or region
- We reserve the right to change pricing at any time without prior notice
6.4 Subscription Changes and Cancellation
- Subscription quantity changes will result in prorated billing calculations
- Cancellations are processed immediately but access continues until the end of the current billing period
- NO REFUNDS are provided after cancellation
- Users retain access to earned points for redemption after cancellation (subject to minimum threshold limits)
7. Intellectual Property and Ownership
7.1 Point Hunt Ownership
- Point Hunt retains full ownership of the web application, including all content, branding, and code
- Subscribers do not obtain any ownership rights through subscription
- All intellectual property rights remain with Point Hunt
7.2 User Restrictions
Users are prohibited from:
- Copying, reproducing, or reverse-engineering our application
- Reselling or redistributing our services
- Misusing our intellectual property in any manner
8. Service Availability and Modifications
Point Hunt reserves the right to:
- Temporarily or permanently suspend service access due to technical issues, legal matters, or user misconduct
- Modify, update, or discontinue features at any time
- Change these Terms with notice provided on our website and during registration
9. Third-Party Services
Point Hunt utilizes the following third-party services that process data on our behalf:
- Amazon SES: For email delivery services including verification emails, OTP emails, billing notifications, account updates, and digital loyalty cards
- Paddle: For payment processing and billing management
- Google Firebase Firestore: For secure data storage
These providers have their own terms of service and privacy policies that may apply to your use of our services.
10. User Responsibilities
10.1 Service Promotion
- Point Hunt is solely a tool for managing loyalty points
- Vendors are responsible for informing customers about the loyalty program
- Vendors must encourage customer registration and explain the points system
10.2 Manual Integration
- Our service requires manual entry of purchase amounts
- Staff must manually enter calculated discounts into their existing billing systems
- Point Hunt is not integrated with existing POS or billing software
11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 Service Limitations
Point Hunt is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Service outages or technical difficulties
- Data loss beyond our control
- Business losses resulting from service use
11.2 Maximum Liability
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the services in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Data Protection and Privacy
- We do not sell user data to third parties
- Data is shared only with trusted service providers (Amazon SES, Paddle, Google Firebase)
- Users can access and correct their data after successful verification
- Detailed information is available in our Privacy Policy
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent or illegal activities
- Non-payment of subscription fees
- Misuse of our services
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. You agree that any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
